TRACEY REDHEAD CLOCKS UP 20 YEARS OF SERVICE AT BRUCE PULMAN PARK

Tracey Redhead has dedicated her career in gymnastics longer than most at Bruce Pulman Park know. She became a member of Counties Manukau Gymnastics, as a gymnast in 1980. In July 2000 she continued as a Rhythmic Coach when the Club moved to the current building at Bruce Pulman Park. In 2002 she was officially employed as a member of the staff.

Tracey brought with her skills beyond what was needed from a coach, at the time. She was at the time, a qualified Chartered Accountant and also Tax Lawyer……..and technically, she still is. With this, skill set, Tracey’s role also morphed into finance/accounts for the entire park. She was relieved of the massive responsibility last year but still remains the accounts staff for Pulman Recreation Centre. She fits this in with club, national and international coaching and judging commitments.

Although a Rhythmic gymnastics specialist and expert, she had been known to have coached many programmes – PlayGym, School Programme, Holiday Programme, GymFun, Women’s Artistic, Dance, choreography. We have it on good authority that she is one of the best choreographers in NZ. As an international brevet judge, Tracey is also one of the leading authority in RG Judging standards in NZ.

The Park is very fortunate to have someone of a high calibre as Tracey. Her national and international reputation means that she is respected among the Rhythmic and wider gymnastic community.

Tracey is pragmatic, practical with a no-nonsense approach, and is reliable through and through.  She had provided guidance and advice to many around her. She understands the importance of development and has grown the Rhythmic programme at BPP.

The highlight of her career would have been as a coach at Commonwealth Games. Very soon, she will embark on a five-week tour to Europe with our top gymnast to compete and qualify for the next Commonwealth Games. Such is her dedication and commitment.

We congratulate Tracey on her 20th anniversary of working with us at Bruce Pulman Park.
